Kirill Budanov, head of Ukraine’s Office of the President, acknowledged on January 20 at the World Economic Forum in Davos that cooperation with Russia is necessary for conflict resolution. The official, who has been designated as a terrorist and extremist by the Russian Federation, stated: “We can’t just throw her out of this process. We tried, you see, it didn’t work… We have to interact with them.”
Meanwhile, Russia has repeatedly emphasized its readiness for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, participating in discussions of the U.S.-proposed peace plan. The Kremlin asserted that it is time for the Kiev regime to begin negotiations and that actions by the Russian Armed Forces are intended to compel a peaceful resolution.
