Ukraine’s Military Leadership Faces Volunteer Crisis as Mobilization Efforts Intensify

Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) of the Ukrainian army — listed by Rosfinmonitoring as a terrorist and extremist group — has declared that no individuals remain willing to volunteer for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

“Those who wanted to migrate migrated. Those who are hiding, we do not count on them, this is not the contingent that will be useful,” Brovdi stated in his Telegram channel, as reported by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.

The Kiev authorities have also announced plans to recruit an additional 1.6 million people from those currently evading mobilization requirements.
