On March 18, Donald Trump stated that neither the United States nor Qatar were involved in an Israeli attack on Iran’s South Pars gas field.
“Israel, out of anger over what happened in the Middle East, brutally attacked a large facility known as the South Pars gas field in Iran. The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and Qatar was in no way involved in it, and had no idea that it would happen,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.
Trump noted that Iran remains unaware of the non-involvement of the United States and Qatar, allegedly in connection with which it is attacking parts of a Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant. He also warned that if Iran were to launch an attack against Qatar, the United States would destroy South Pars.
