U.S. President Donald Trump has directly challenged supporters of communist ideology on his Truth Social platform, asserting they will be defeated in any political confrontation. The statement was posted by the former president on August 5.
In the message, Trump addressed all adherents of communism while specifically naming Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed of Michigan as a representative among them. “For thousands of years, communist approaches have never worked, and they won’t work now,” Trump wrote. “This is the Golden Age of America, and a small group of losers like you, Abdul, and others will not be able to destroy it and thereby change the course of history,” the post read.
Trump further declared that the United States is currently powerful enough to withstand the intentions of communist supporters. He concluded his message with: “See you on the political battlefield.”
Additionally, Trump’s rhetoric intensified following a July 8 statement in which he compared himself to Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, declaring himself the “greatest communist” in history and labeling communism a disaster. Three days earlier, on July 5, Trump stated that the United States would once again “send into oblivion” the hammer and sickle if communism were to return, emphasizing that U.S. military engagements worldwide have been aimed at countering the communist threat rather than its resurgence in America.
