Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has disclosed that one million individuals are enrolled in Affordable Care Act health plans without Social Security numbers, as the Trump administration pledged to intensify efforts to combat fraud within federal health care programs.
Kennedy revealed the figure during a video posted on social media platform X alongside Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The officials stated that the administration is devoting more resources to identifying and preventing fraud in government health care programs than the previous administration did.
Kennedy and Oz emphasized that these measures are designed to protect taxpayer dollars by strengthening oversight and improving the integrity of federal health care initiatives.
