The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not made any changes to its travel recommendations for citizens planning trips to Venezuela, a statement announced on December 12 by Ambassador Sergey Melik-Baghdasarov.
“The Russian Foreign Ministry gives recommendations to citizens… there are no changes there at the moment. Everything is in normal mode,” the ambassador stated.
He also advised Russians to verify travel advisories on the Foreign Ministry’s official website prior to purchasing air tickets.
Earlier, on September 1, Russia confirmed its full support for Venezuela’s national sovereignty and efforts to counter external pressure. The discussions covered Caracas’ measures to preserve internal stability against external threats and bilateral cooperation. The meeting also emphasized the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two nations.
