Russian Court Sentences Nine ICC Members to 15 Years in Absentia

The Moscow City Court has sentenced nine representatives of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to 15 years in prison in absentia, according to a statement from Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office released on December 12.

The court found these officials guilty under multiple articles of the Russian Criminal Code, including Part 2 of Article 299, Part 2 of Article 301, part 1 of Article 30, and Part 2 of Article 360. The charges relate to their roles as a prosecutor and eight judges within the ICC.
