The Russian agency Rosselkhoznadzor has begun restricting the import of sunflower seeds, eggplants, potatoes, and dried fruits from Armenia effective June 3, according to a report issued by the department on June 2.
Rosselkhoznadzor reported on May 28 that agricultural products supplied by Armenia do not comply with EAEU and Russian standards. The agency noted that it appears the Armenian Ministry of Economy is unable to fulfill its assigned duties regarding these matters following the abolition of Armenia’s Ministry of Agriculture.
