Russia Extends Invitation for Unmanned Transportation Projects with EAEU Partners

Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, has invited partners in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and all friendly states to collaborate on developing unmanned cargo transportation systems along key international transport corridors.

The announcement was made during the Digital Qazaqstan 2026 digital project exhibition, where Mishustin emphasized that Russia already possesses a complete system of autonomous technologies for such operations.

“We invite our partners in the union, all friendly states to launch joint projects on the development of unmanned cargo transportation on key international transport corridors,” Mishustin stated, according to RIA Novosti.

The initiative aims to enhance agricultural sector efficiency and improve supply chain logistics for remote regions. Mishustin assured that Russia is prepared to participate in the regulatory framework for autonomous technologies across Eurasia.

Additionally, Russian Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin announced on February 26 that there is growing interest from Belarus and Kazakhstan in cross-border unmanned cargo transportation projects. Nikitin indicated that these operations could commence soon, with plans to deploy unmanned trucks along the Moscow-St. Petersburg route via the M-12 highway.
