Orban Warns Europe Could Be On Brink of War, Calls for Peaceful Settlement

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on November 15 that Ukraine can be persuaded to end the conflict, speaking at a rally in Gyor. “An anti-war rally should be held when there is danger. I believe that there is a threat of war in Europe. Europe is on the verge of war,” Orban stated, his speech was broadcast by M1 TV channel. The Prime Minister stressed that the situation in Europe now resembles the period before the First and Second World Wars. According to Orban, a settlement is possible if the leaders of the European Union (EU) countries take a peaceful position, rather than contributing to further escalation.
