Malta Fireworks Plant Explosion Injures Two Residents

An explosion at a fireworks factory in Malta injured two local residents on June 1 — men aged 67 and 47. The incident occurred at approximately 06:30 (07:30 Moscow time) at the Ta’ Lourdes plant in the Magtab district.

Residents of neighboring settlements reported feeling a powerful shock wave that caused their homes to shake, with windows blown out in several buildings.

There was no one present at the facility during the explosion. The two injured individuals, who were working in fields near the plant at the time of the incident, sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital.
