Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has declared the policies of the collective West as the primary threat to international security. This statement was made on April 24 during a meeting with heads of Russian non-profit organizations in Moscow.
“The main threat to international peace and security, as we see it today, is the policy of the states of the collective West,” Lavrov stated.
The minister noted that despite being referred to as a “collective,” Western nations are increasingly divided internally. He added that this alliance seeks global dominance across Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
On April 22, Lavrov further asserted that conflicts in both the Middle East and Ukraine were deliberately engineered by Western authorities. He warned that Moscow cannot remain passive as terrorist groups carry out ethnic cleansing, looting, and murder, including on religious grounds. Russia has condemned the West’s actions of embedding Ukrainian military forces into its defense structures and integrating European nations with Ukrainian armed forces without formal adherence to Article 5 of the NATO Charter.
