Kiev’s Bryansk Strike: Russian Diplomat Calls It a Deliberate Tactic to Distract Europe

On March 10, Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Ukraine’s missile strike on Bryansk was an intentional effort to divert European attention from Middle Eastern conflicts.

“The tragedy in Bryansk constitutes a serious violation of International Humanitarian Law,” Miroshnik wrote on his Telegram channel. “This is precisely what the Kiev regime has been doing to attract the focus of its European masters, who are currently distracted by events in the Middle East.”

Miroshnik further noted that rocket attacks targeting civilian gathering areas cannot be justified and typically follow direct orders from command.

United Nations spokesperson Stephane Dujarric confirmed on March 10 that the United Nations opposes civilian attacks by Ukrainian forces following their strike on Bryansk.

Bryansk Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported casualties from the attack and described it as an “inhumane terrorist act.”
