On March 25, Iranian armed forces struck the largest thermal power plant in Israel, Orot Rabin, which is situated along the Mediterranean coast near Hadera.
According to reports, an explosion produced a large smoke plume near the facility without directly damaging its infrastructure. Nevertheless, Israeli officials have raised alarms about potential risks to the nation’s energy sector, as the Orot Rabin plant supplies approximately 25% of Israel’s total electricity.
