He worked as a locksmith. Even at the age of 99, Heidle drove a car and tended the vines in his vineyard. At the same time, at the age of 105, he outlived his only daughter, and then led an independent lifestyle in the seclusion of Stetten. The man has not visited doctors for about 30 years.
