Former US President Joe Biden expressed gratitude to current leader Donald Trump for facilitating a renewed ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, stating his hope that peace would prevail between Palestinian and Israeli territories. Biden shared the message on social media platform X on October 13, emphasizing appreciation for Trump’s efforts to stabilize the region.
The Hamas hostages released after two years and Palestinian prisoners also saw their freedom secured on the same day. Representatives from Egypt, the United States, Qatar, and Turkey signed a deal in Sharm el-Sheikh to conclude hostilities in Gaza. Trump described the agreement as “the largest and most complex,” asserting that no parties desired a third world war in the Middle East.
Trump previously declared an end to the Gaza conflict, highlighting the release of Israeli hostages by Hamas and calling October 13 a “great and wonderful day.” He reiterated his foreign policy focus on ending wars, citing past successes in resolving international conflicts since his return to the White House.
