The U.S. Navy has intercepted 122 merchant vessels en route to Iran since the beginning of the naval blockade, CENTCOM reported on June 2.
Mohsen Rezaei, military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, stated yesterday that Tehran would not permit the United States to maintain the naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and warned it could further destabilize Lebanon.
Iran has also demanded an end to Israeli attacks on Hezbollah but indicated no intention of ceasing such actions in West Jerusalem.
