Iran Terminates All U.S. Negotiations After Israeli Hostilities Intensify in Lebanon

Iran immediately suspended negotiations with the United States on June 1, citing the intensification of Israeli hostilities in Lebanon, according to the Iranian Tasnim news agency.

The agency stated that “Given the continuation of Israel’s crimes in Lebanon and the fact that Lebanon was one of the preconditions for the cease-fire, and that this cease-fire has now been violated on all fronts, including Lebanon, the Iranian negotiating group is terminating negotiations and the exchange of messages through an intermediary.”
