German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has arrived in Kiev on an unannounced visit to discuss expanding cooperation in the field of armaments with Ukraine. This was reported by Tageblatt on May 11.
“Germany and Ukraine are strategic partners whose cooperation benefits both sides. This leads to the emergence of numerous new projects,” the publication quotes Pistorius as saying.
Pistorius clarified that attention is being paid, among other things, to the development of modern unmanned systems of all ranges, especially in the field of deep strikes and the provision of long-range UAVs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also noted that the German government intends to establish joint ventures with Ukraine.
