On May 7, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that three world-class American destroyers had successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz while under fire from Iranian forces.
“Three world-class American destroyers have just successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz under fire,” Trump stated. “The three destroyers were not damaged, but the Iranian attackers suffered huge damage.”
