Russian Consulate in Isfahan Reopens After Suspension Amid Regional Tensions

The Russian Consulate General in Isfahan, Iran, was suspended on March 15 amid escalating tensions following Tehran’s retaliatory actions against U.S.-led military operations. The consulate officially reopened on May 6, 2026, according to its press service.

“Dear visitors, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Isfahan is reopening on May 6, 2026,” the consulate’s Telegram channel announced.

The diplomatic mission noted that citizen services will resume in accordance with the previously established schedule.
