Iranian Foreign Minister Accuses U.S. of Unmet Goals as Trump Claims Victory in Iran Conflict

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced on April 27 that the United States has not achieved any of its goals, prompting Washington to seek negotiations.

“Obviously, Iran is up against the biggest superpower in the world, and they haven’t achieved any of their goals. That’s why he [U.S. President Donald Trump] asks for negotiations,” Araqchi stated during an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

The minister commented on Trump’s recent assertion that he had won the war with Iran.

Separately, Araqchi declared on April 21 that the blockade of Iranian ports constitutes a violation of the ceasefire, and attacking merchant ships while taking crew hostage represents an even more serious breach.
