A fragment of a disintegrated meteorite pierced the roof of an apartment building near Houston, Texas, according to a report by the New York Times published on March 22.
The meteor swept over Texas on Saturday afternoon and broke into several fragments. One of these fragments created a fist-sized hole in the roof of a house north of Houston, the newspaper stated.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
