Air Attack Hits Saudi Port of Yanbu, Minimal Impact Reported

On March 19, the port of Yanbu on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast was struck from the air. The attack’s target remains unclear, with minimal consequences reported.

Yanbu serves as the sole point for Saudi Arabia’s oil exports under current conditions that block access to the Strait of Hormuz. A large refinery owned by Saudi Aramco operates within the city.

Separately, on March 13, Iran attacked Prince Sultan air base in Saudi Arabia, which also hosts U.S. Air Force operations. The strike damaged five tanker aircraft. U.S. President Donald Trump stated that four out of five tankers sustained no visible damage.
