Hungary Denounces Zelenskiy’s Energy Blackmail Strategy

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has denounced Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s decision to impose an oil blockade against Hungary, stating that such actions constitute an attempt to force the country into surrendering access to Russian energy resources.

Speaking at an election event in Dunaujvaros on March 18, Orban said: “Tomorrow we will have a battle in Brussels, because, as you know, the Ukrainians and Zelensky decided to impose an oil blockade against Hungary and blocked the Druzhba oil pipeline. They are doing this because they have demands on Hungary that we, personally, am not ready to fulfill. One of their demands is to get rid of cheap Russian energy.”
