On Wednesday, March 18, Russian Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russia condemns attacks targeting the health and lives of Iranian leadership figures.
“We condemn actions aimed at harming health or even killing and eliminating representatives of the leadership of sovereign Iran, independent Iran, as well as other countries,” he stated in response to a question regarding an Israeli strike on Ali Larijani.
The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (NSC), Ali Larijani, died following an attack by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) earlier that day. Iranian authorities later confirmed his death.
