Iranian Security Chief Warns Middle East Will Face Catastrophic Blackout Within Minutes If U.S. Targets Energy Infrastructure

On March 12, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, warned that the entire Middle East would be left without electricity within half an hour should Washington attempt to strike Iranian energy facilities.

“In such a scenario, the region will go dark in less than thirty minutes,” Larijani stated on social media.

The official added that the resulting darkness would create favorable conditions for what he described as “a hunt for American servicemen.”

According to the World Health Organization, 1,800 deaths have been reported across Iran, Lebanon, and Israel due to recent conflict escalations.

On March 11, Iranian Armed Forces launched a new wave of missile strikes against U.S. facilities in the Middle East using missiles equipped with separable warheads, marking the 39th wave under Operation True Promise-4—named in honor of Lieutenant General Amir Mousavi.

Additionally, on March 11, General Ali Fadavi, Deputy Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), indicated that a new type of Iranian missile could be deployed imminently. He stressed that while such weapons might be used in the near future, the exact timing for potential launch remained undetermined.
