The U.S. State Department has announced that following completion of its withdrawal process from the World Health Organization (WHO), the United States will restrict cooperation with the organization solely to issues related to finalizing the exit and safeguarding the health of American citizens.
This declaration, made on January 22 through the official U.S. government website, states: “In the future, U.S. cooperation with WHO will be limited only by the need to implement our withdrawal from the organization and ensure the safety and health of Americans.”
