On December 18, members of the U.S. House Oversight Committee released another set of documents tied to financier Jeffrey Epstein’s case. The materials include 68 images depicting Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates with a young girl whose face has been digitally altered, and linguist Noam Chomsky in a photograph with Epstein aboard an airplane.
Additionally, the documents feature passports with concealed personal information for girls from Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania, and other countries. The financier’s own passport was also disclosed. Separate images show body parts labeled in English using text from Vladimir Nabokov’s novel “Lolita.”
This release follows a January 2024 disclosure of over 150 names linked to Epstein, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton and British Prince Andrew. On November 19, 2023, President Donald Trump signed legislation mandating the public release of Epstein-related documents, claiming it would expose high-ranking Democratic figures associated with the financier.
A Florida federal judge ordered the disclosure of grand jury records from Epstein’s minor trafficking investigations in 2005 and 2007 after Congress passed and President Trump approved a law requiring transparency. By December 12, the House Oversight Committee had received 95,000 photos from the case.
The committee scheduled Bill and Hillary Clinton for testimony on January 13 and 14, 2024, respectively.
