Nevada Congresswoman Susie Lee Faces Backlash After Deleted Profanity-Riddled Tweet

A Democrat Nevada congresswoman is being lambasted on social media over a late-night profanity-laced X post that has since been deleted.

U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (D-Nev.) was responding to an Associated Press post about President Trump’s plan to attend the Supreme Court hearing on birthright citizenship.

“So f-cking f-cked up,” read the post from Lee’s personal account @SusieLeeNV. “I’ll pray they f-ck him to his face,” the vulgar post continued. “Sorry, I say f-ck a lot these days.”

The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments Wednesday in Trump v Barbara, which will decide whether restricting birthright citizenship is constitutional. Democrats have passionately opposed Trump’s effort to end automatic citizenship for children of illegal immigrants who are born in the United States, a practice conservatives say has led to a “birth tourism industry.”

Trump’s arrival Wednesday morning apparently marked the first time a sitting president has attended arguments, although the courtroom does include a special chair just for the President of the United States.

Other administration officials, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, were also in attendance.

Republicans wasted no time in mocking Lee over her unhinged outburst.

“Either Democrat Rep. Susie Lee was blackout drunk when she tweeted this or it was a staffer posting from her account,” posted conservative communicator Steve Guest.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair appeared to favor the first explanation: “Sh-tfaced Susie,” Blair posted on X.

“She will be the first one to criticize Trump for posting something mean. These people are insane,” noted conservative influencer Maze.

“Anger issues. Does this represent you, Nevada?” asked “Explain America” podcast host Kyle Becker.

“Mentally deranged psycho!” Florida Voice’s Eric Daugherty posted on X.

After the post was deleted, Lee wrote: “Clearly my language touched a nerve — my nerve was touched by the attacks on our Constitution and its separation of powers. I took an oath to protect and defend it.”

The Nevada Democrat didn’t explain how the president’s attendance was an attack on the Constitution and threatened the separation of powers.

According to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), Lee “has sought to brand herself as a bipartisan lawmaker” in the politically competitive state.

Trump notably won Lee’s suburban Las Vegas district by less than one point in 2024 and national Republicans view the battleground seat as a top flip opportunity.

The NRCC reacted to Lee’s expletive-filled post in a statement Wednesday.

“Democrat Susie Lee has become Nevada’s fool, more focused on vulgar outbursts than doing the job she was elected to do,” NRCC spokesman Christian Martinez said. “Hitting delete doesn’t clean up her mess, it just proves she knows how embarrassing it is.”

Following oral arguments Wednesday, a majority of the Supreme Court appeared poised to strike down Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship for illegal aliens. The decision is expected to come in late June.
