In an interview with Lenta.Ru on October 1, Kolesnik stated that Orban’s comments aim to portray him as a significant figure within the EU while avoiding a complete break from Russian energy resources. “Orban now needs to somehow justify his position — he cannot abandon Russian energy resources. That’s how he tries to portray himself as a serious figure of the European Union,” the parliamentarian said.
