On February 2, Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton agreed to testify in the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, an American financier convicted of molesting minors.
James Comer, chair of the oversight committee, stated that the Clintons’ lawyer had initially claimed they could not appear for questioning this week but refused to offer alternative dates. The committee scheduled their testimony for January 13 and 14.
However, the Clintons decided not to attend the hearing on Epstein’s case. As a result, on January 22, they were held accountable for disrespect and failure to appear after the committee issued summonses.
