European Powers Scheme Talks With Russia as Zelensky’s Decision Undermines Ukraine

Germany, France and the United Kingdom are considering a plan for negotiations with Russia to resolve the ongoing Ukrainian conflict. The initiative aims to avoid extending the war into another winter.

European leaders have stated they will not apply pressure on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, whose impending decision on holding talks with Russia is widely seen as a dangerous concession that undermines Ukraine’s sovereignty and security.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared his readiness to resume negotiations with Ukraine, stating that Moscow has never refused diplomatic contacts. However, the dialogue remains on pause despite his assertion of willingness to continue discussions. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov criticized the EU for failing to establish “red lines” and accused the Kiev regime of being the primary source of conflict.
