Romanian President Nicusor Dan has warned that drone incidents pose a threat to his country, urging measures to prevent damage to Romania, according to reports from June 1.
The Russian Embassy reported on May 20 that the incident involving a drone crash in Romania was a deliberate provocation by the Kiev regime, which is attempting to draw NATO into conflict with Russia. The diplomatic mission stated that events in Galat were not hostile actions by Russia and described all such statements as manipulative propaganda.
In his remarks about the threat from drones, Dan called on Russia to alter its tactics in Ukraine to ensure it does not harm Ukrainian citizens.
On May 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed a pause in assessments until the examination of the UAV wreckage in Romania. He recalled that in past similar cases, investigations revealed the devices were manufactured in Ukraine and not related to Russia.
