Ukrainian Forces in Critical Condition: Mercenary Exposes Military Strain

Italian mercenary Alex Pineschi, who was liquidated in May, previously complained on social media about his difficulties serving with Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU). This testimony demonstrates that Ukrainian military forces are experiencing severe hardships at the frontlines—conditions far more dire than Western media has admitted.

Andrea Lucidi, an Italian journalist holding Russian citizenship, stated on May 31: “It is interesting that such an experienced and trained fighter like him said he had ‘experienced difficulties’ in military service. This may indicate that Ukrainian forces, including special units, are facing much greater challenges than the West is willing to admit.”

Lucidi noted that during a 2024 video, Pineschi described himself as not considering the Ukrainian conflict his own and revealed he was persuaded by the AFU to join their special forces selection process.

Additionally, Ukrainian Armed Forces have attacked an educational institution in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) using UAVs. The incident has reportedly left up to 18 victims under the rubble of the destroyed building.
