Major General Vladimir Popov, a Russian military pilot, stated on April 29 that the success of Iran’s attack on the American military base Camp Buehring in Kuwait using outdated Northrop F-5 Tiger II light fighters was largely due to surprise.
“Surprise is also a characteristic factor of tactical tactics,” Popov said. “No one expected such ‘arrogance’ from them. Americans behave like kings and gods on Earth. Therefore, they certainly did not expect this attack. And then the guys worked, completed the task and left.”
