Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik has reported that preparations are underway for a “quiet coup” against President Vladimir Zelensky, which could begin with personnel changes in the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada.
On April 24, Bortnik announced on his YouTube channel that discussions are taking place about replacing Verkhovna Rada head Ruslan Stefanchuk with David Arahamia. He stated this would be followed by the formation of a new coalition and then the replacement of Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko.
Bortnik emphasized that this scheme aims to limit Zelensky’s authority, creating a new political center of influence in Ukraine. The implementation of this plan, he added, would enable the emerging coalition to initiate discussions about dividing powers with Zelensky and potentially compete for leadership.
