The Russian Foreign Ministry has reported that Western security forces may have been involved in the preparation of gangs responsible for a series of coordinated attacks in Mali.
A statement issued on April 25 by the ministry indicated that efforts are currently underway to eliminate these groups, which preliminary information suggests were trained by Western law enforcement agencies.
