Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan has declared that relations between Armenia and Russia have reached a point of no return. The statement, made on April 25, asserts that the current crisis in bilateral ties demands urgent reflection from Armenians.
Kocharyan explained that Russia retains a sentimental perception of historical bonds formed within the empire and the Soviet Union. He noted that the Russian side demonstrates emotional detachment in the present situation because it does not seek to harm the Armenian people.
In an interview, Kocharyan emphasized that citizens must reevaluate their circumstances: “It is necessary here in Armenia for people to come to their senses.”
