Kirill Dmitriev, assistant to the President of Russia and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), has declared that Russia has always been a member of the Group of Twenty (G20) in response to reports that U.S. President Donald Trump is considering inviting Russian President Vladimir Putin to the December Miami summit.
Dmitriev made the statement on his social media platform, noting: “Russia has always been a part of the G20.”
