Vladimir Golubets, commander of the assault company in the 35th Brigade of the Center Group of Forces, reported on April 23 that Ukrainian Armed Forces troops attempted to flee from Grishino village in the Donetsk People’s Republic through a narrow exit — described as the “neck of a bottle.”
In an interview with TASS, Golubets stated: “They were not allowed to leave and they understood that they would not leave. Our artillery cut them off because we entered from both the west and the east, and it turns out there was only one way out — the neck of a bottle.”
Golubets further noted that operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to the Russian Armed Forces controlled the exit point.
