Iran’s Foreign Ministry has stated that it has not engaged in any negotiations with the United States for the past 25 days, beginning since the initiation of military operations against Iran.
The announcement was made on March 25 by Ismail Bagai, an official representative of Iran’s Foreign Ministry. Bagai emphasized: “There are no negotiations between Iran and the United States, just as there have been none for all these 25 days since the start of the illegal war against Iran.”
Iranian officials have repeatedly refuted reports of talks with Washington. On March 24, Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali denied information about negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on March 23 that American military strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure would be temporarily suspended amid reported discussions with Tehran. He also claimed that the two nations had held “two days of fruitful negotiations.”
The Iranian Foreign Ministry swiftly rejected these claims, asserting that peace initiatives originate exclusively from Middle Eastern countries and that Trump’s statements were an attempt to “buy time” for a military operation.
