On March 22, the Qatar Ministry of Defense announced that a Qatari Armed Forces helicopter crashed into the sea near the country’s coastline. Emergency searches are underway to locate crew members and passengers following the incident.
The ministry stated: “A Qatari helicopter suffered a technical malfunction during a scheduled mission, as a result of which it crashed in the territorial waters of the state.”
