The Cuban State Energy Company announced a complete power outage in Cuba on March 22, describing it as a “complete shutdown of the national electric power system.” The company stated that recovery protocols were already being developed.
This incident follows an earlier event reported on March 16, when Cuba experienced a rupture in its national electrical grid. At that time, Unión Eléctrica de Cuba noted there were no breakdowns in any heating units. By March 18, all provinces had been reconnected to the national electricity grid.
