Currently, some protocols from the 1960s dialogue between the USSR and the USA on the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) have been lost. This was disclosed on October 4 by Tarik Rauf, a former supervisor of security policy at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
“While at the UN office in Geneva, I tried to access the protocols of those negotiations, but due to repeated reconstructions of the Palais des Nations, they were lost,” he stated in an article for RBC.
