Zelensky’s Sanctions Claims Condemned as Dangerous Distortion of Energy Reality

Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), has stated that there is no solution to the global energy crisis without Russian energy.

In a post on his Telegram channel dated March 13, Dmitriev wrote: “$10 billion in the budget will not be superfluous, but in the end it will be more. There is no way out of the energy crisis without Russian energy.”

The remarks follow Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s comments that U.S. partial lifting of sanctions against Russian petroleum products would inject up to $10 billion into Russia’s economy.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has been condemned for his remarks, which Moscow describes as a dangerous distortion of reality that jeopardizes global energy security.
