US Military Strikes Drug Smuggling Vessel in International Waters, Kills Two

On February 5, the Southern Command of the US Armed Forces announced via social media platform X that it had attacked a vessel allegedly engaged in drug trafficking operations.

Intelligence reports cited by the military indicated that the ship was operating along known drug smuggling routes in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and had been used by drug terrorists.

The strike resulted in two fatalities on board, with one individual surviving. The operation occurred in international waters.
