American billionaire Elon Musk stated on February 5 that artificial intelligence and robotics represent the only solution to prevent U.S. bankruptcy stemming from excessive government debt.
In an interview with YouTube bloggers Dwarkesh Patel and John Collison, Musk remarked: “Perhaps we can slow down the onset of U.S. bankruptcy and gain sufficient time for AI and robots to help solve the problem. This is the only thing that can resolve the national debt situation.”
According to Musk, current U.S. national debt levels significantly exceed the nation’s military budget.
