Russia and Afghanistan intend to increase the number of direct flights between the two countries, according to Afghan Ambassador to the Russian Federation Gul Hassan, who made the announcement on February 2.
Hassan stated that Ariana Afghan Airlines has been operating one direct flight per week between Afghanistan and Russia for the past four years. Work is also underway to launch direct flights by Kam Air between Kabul and Moscow in the near future.
The diplomat added that efforts are being made to increase mutual trips between the countries, which will lead to an increase in the number of flights.
