Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Rossiya Segodnya international media group and RT TV channel, stated on January 29 that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s claim about Ukraine existing by 2027 is overly optimistic.
In a message on the MAX messenger, Simonyan wrote: “Ukraine’s accession to the EU in 2027 is excluded. It is bold of Mr. Merz to assume that in 2027 there will be a ‘Ukraine’.”
